In 2018 in partnership with his late son, David A. Smith, Jr., David founded The David Group, LLC to provide a range of consulting services to non-profit organizations.

At the time of his tragic passing, David A. Smith, Jr. was TDG, LLC Co-Founder and Senior Strategist, following an 8-year career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, New York, as a Senior Associate, People & Organization Consulting where he managed projects for top Fortune 500 clients including Time Warner International and Pepsico. David A. Smith, Jr., earned a BS, Finance, and an MBA, Finance, Management from Bentley University, Waltham, Ma.
David's legacy continues through David's Promise, a non-profit organization committed to helping what are too often, bright young minds in communities around the country who are unable to live up to their full potential for no other reason than a lack of opportunity and or a lack of resources.
